as i watched that night i was especially delighted to see a funny woman with glasses & confidence receiving all the laughs. i, in that very moment, embraced my corky-nerdiness. as time went on came to simply adore tina fey & amy poehler.
“I like to crack the jokes now and again, but it’s only because I struggle with math.” -Tina Fey.
“I want to go on the record and say I have never urinated in public. But the night is still young.”-Amy Poehler.

xo-

I love them both so, so much.
ReplyDeletehaha girls just want to have fun, no?
ReplyDeleteThey have a huge following on the other side of the pond as well! Tina Fey is my all time favourite – have you seen the 30Rock episode where she dates the coffee guy? Could be that you'd have to be 35 to think it's funny, but oh. I laughed so hard I woke up the passenger next to me (flying to NY two weeks ago).
ReplyDeleteOh, your sister's written me a beautiful e-mail, many thanks for introducing me to her blog.
These two ladies are certainly unique and inspirational! A testament to what hard work and determination can get you.
ReplyDeleteAwesome post!

P.S. Totally bumping 30 Rock up on my Netflix DVD queue.
P.P.S. Have you seen Baby Mama? Ok, just askin...
They are awesome :)
ReplyDelete*LOL* Don't know who they are but if you say they are awesome then they are most definitely awesome! *hugs*
ReplyDeleteI looove it! Those two are my favorite famous ladies ever.
ReplyDeleteI wish I would have watched or would watch NOW SNL. I never did...I never really have. I've seen skits here and there, but I'm certain I've never sat and watched an entire episode. Interestingly enough, we had a cross country shirt with some SNL quote on the back. I didn't see the skit it came from until years later. :)
ReplyDelete"You can run all day long when you live in a van down by the river."
LMAO for gum under the coffee table! Hahahaha... I think that might have been my fav scene too... except for the ones that made me cry. yes I cried like a baby.

Very funny ladies, indeed and I totally feel ya, on the strong confident, glasses wearing girl. I'm such a geek, just to my core and I'm finally starting to be okay with that. Now if I could just find a freckled role model thats NOT Lindsey Lohan. :)
